Even The Mighty FriendFeed Can Go Down

Today, for the first time in recent memory, FriendFeed has experienced a major outage. Perhaps it's coincidence with the likes of Robert Scoble (Scobleizer) evangelizing FriendFeed on Twitter. Whatever is happening over at FriendFeed things are not looking good as even the Service Unavailable page pictured here is either taking a very long time to load, or not loading at all.

This sort of behavior is typical of a denial of service attack, so the people at FF might not be entirely to blame for the outage. Only time will tell what is going on.

Update 1: FriendFeed is back up for now. No mention of the outage and its cause on their blog though. There is some discussion of the event in the FriendFeed Help Forum.
